Lovely post – (couldn’t comment yet)

You’ve described our La Leche League guide, ‘a wide variety of food, in a close to it’s natural state as possible.’
Now that includes Gluten free, so whole pseudo grains (quinoa, buckwheat) and a few from different families – rice and some OG corn …

Hi Kathi, I couldn’t comment on your blog, so here’s my comment:

I love how you framed balance as something we notice and adjust, not something we chase or judge ourselves over.

Thanks for the timely reminder to pause, listen, and recalibrate before things tip too far.

I too need to comment here. I really like this: “Wherever you are, be there.” It sounds so simple, but it can be so difficult. Occupying the space that you’re in, rather than the space that you wish you were in, feels challenging and even disappointing. But if you are in that space, the one that is real, the one that you are occupying physically, it can make such a difference. It can be much better than you anticipated. Joy comes when you least expect it and where you least expect it. Being fully present in that space makes you open to unexpected joy, and that’s always a good thing.

I love this idea because I run out of ideas for gifts for my husband who has everything he ever wanted. We just moved, so I’m going to keep this option in mind for Valentine’s Day. He would love it!
