Thank you for these thoughts and tips on networking, Paul.
I host bimonthly creative circles via zoom, and have an in-person Reiki workshop scheduled for month’s end. This will be the first in person class in awhile. My hosted and I are advertizing both online (meetup, Event Brite) and have shared info at our Drum Circle. I’ll mention it during my check in at bookgroup tomorrow …
I’m pretty social, and it’s gotten easier to share about events i offer! I always enjoy doing them – and being beyond being nervous!
Hi Nadya,
Thank you for sharing about your creative circles and upcoming Reiki workshop (FYI – I am Reiki Level 1 Certified)!
It’s wonderful to hear how social connections have helped you feel more comfortable sharing your events. It sounds like you’re building a supportive community around you, both online and in person. Your passion for hosting and sharing shines through, and I’m sure your attendees will feel that energy, especially at your in-person class.
Best of luck with everything—I’m sure it will be a rewarding experience for everyone involved!

Hi Cheryl –
I do not see comments are available on this post. Here are some for you (let me know when it is fixed and I will post them on your site):
Cheryl, your thoughts on the phrase “no offense” really struck a chord with me! It’s so true how people use it as a shield before saying something they know might sting. You captured that perfectly. I love how your Free Write Friday led to this little reflection – it’s such a great reminder to think about the words we choose. Your writing always feels like a conversation with a good friend, and I really appreciate that! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

I enjoyed this reflection, Cheryl. I also have an inner grumble when someone says, ‘no offense!’
I’m learning Cherokee, and our teacher Ed tells us there’s not an old word for ‘I’m sorry’ as the cultural expectation is that you will do your best! You might say ‘I didn’t mean harm’ – and there’s lots of teasing!
I appreciate how direct and thoughtful the language is
